PLAN C and ALIITA at ANDREAS MURKUDIS
Andreas Murkudis presents the PLAN C Autumn/Winter 2019 collection and new designs by jewellery label ALIITA at Potsdamer Straße 81.
Italian label PLAN C is run by Carolina Castiglioni, daughter of MARNI founder Consuelo Castiglioni, and introduced their first collection of colourful, masculine womenswear in Spring 2019. Their distinctive Autumn/Winter 2019 collection seamlessly combines contrasting forces; classic and high-tech, masculine and feminine, discreet and bold — everything finds a balance in a style which transcends the seasons and current trends to amplify the unique personality of every woman who wears Plan C. Their ready-to-wear collections are designed in the same Milanese building where the jewellery label ALIITA, run by Carolina’s sister-in-law, is also to be found.
The Milan based jewellery label ALIITA was founded in 2015 by Cynthia Vilchez Castiglioni, who grew up in Venezuela. Her work uses quotidian elements transformed into pure lines, made from gold and precious stones, recalling the comforting feeling of the place we come from: home. Rediscovering the Italian antique art of cameo-making with their latest 2019 collection, ALIITA also presents Art Decò-inspired shapes and introduces the use of diaspores among its designs, inspired by iconic tennis imagery. Both labels present their latest collection together and with a special installation in Potsdamer Straße 81, on October 19th.
