I discovered her work on Instagram many years ago and was immediately captivated. I reached out to her with the idea of collaborating on an exhibition. Since then, her sculptures have become a permanent part of our assortment.

Chinoko Sakamoto

CHINOKO SAKAMOTO is a sculptor, based in Nagasaki, Japan, who honed her clay sculpting skills during her time at Camberwell College of Arts where she received a BA in Fine Art Sculpture. Sakamoto continues to use clay as her primary material. Each sculpture is unique and is made using hand-building and sculpting techniques finished with her distinctive blend of slips and glazes.
