Having mastered her craft at COMME DES GARÇONS, Chitose Abe founded SACAI in 1999. The Japanese label contrasts woolen knits with technical fabrics and combines tops with skirts and trousers in one piece to create unexpected, bold and conceptual silhouettes. To Abe, who seeks inspiration from her surroundings and daily life, the Sacai collection has a distinctive and recognizable elegance by transforming and reassembling basic and classical cuts.
