SAGE DE CRET was launched by creative director Kimitoshi Chida in 2001. Chida desired to create tasteful fashion made in Japan with meticulously selected and specially treated fabrics. SAGE DE CRET puts a subtle spin on traditional Japanese and American work- and military-wear to create menswear that is wearable yet shrewd. Informed by the likes of Rei Kawakubo and Yohji Yamamoto, Chida references fashion history in his pieces without being stifled by constraints.
