The Original Playboy

The history of THE ORIGINAL PLAYBOY brand began in England in 1936 with the development of a unique crepe sole construction. It became an iconic design worn by royals, legendary Hollywood actors, jazz musicians, rockabillies, hip-hoppers and more. In 2005, the Playboy brand was taken over by the current Danish owner, the Fabian family, known for their extensive shoemaking expertise. 2020 marked the beginning of a new era for THE ORIGINAL PLAYBOY, as they continue to embark on special collaborations, such as with Steve McQueen.
