ALIGNED by Silvia Bächli and Michael Anastassiades

In STORE 77, ALIGNED – a joint-exhibition with the works of Swiss-painter Silvia Bächli and London-based light-designer Michael Anastassiades – opened for Gallery Weekend 2022. Bächli’s striking horizontal brushstrokes hung on the walls of Andreas Murkudis’ gallery space, in direct conversation with Anastassiades' floor lights, constructed as a series of parallel vertical bamboo rods and linear light tubes. This was the first time that the works by the two artists were exhibited together, in other words, aligned.
