'Brooklyn Gang' by BRUCE DAVIDSON

For Berlin Art Week 2024, ANDREAS MURKUDIS hosted an exhibition in STORE 77 featuring works by renowned American artist Bruce Davidson (b. 1933). In collaboration with Howard Greenberg Gallery, the exhibition focused on Davidson’s iconic “Brooklyn Gang” series, captured in 1959. In the late 1950s, Davidson documented the lives of Brooklyn-based gang, The Jokers, offering an intimate look at America’s alienated youth culture. A selection of 30 photographs from “Brooklyn Gang” was displayed and available for purchase. The opening event took place on September 11th and Howard Greenberg attended.
