HELLA JONGERIUS x NYMPHENBURG

ANDREAS MURKUDIS exhibited ‘Sowing the New’ – a table spread consisting of vintage NYMPHENBURG plates, cups and bowls re-painted by Dutch designer Hella Jongerius. In an effort to breathe new life into vintage porcelain pieces of unique quality, Jongerius designed two new décors – WEEDS and DRIPPING – that were hand-painted over an existing dinner set by NYMPHENBURG. The collection was titled Generation T and stood for tradition, transformation and tableware – an initiative by the Dutch designer and the Bavarian heritage manufacturer against the waste of valuable resources. The unique pieces were spread across a large table in STORE 81.
