Johnstons of Elgin Presentation

In January 2017, JOHNSTONS OF ELGIN's new creative director Alan Scott came to the ANDREAS MURKUDIS store with bales of cashmere to introduce his new collection. Under the creative direction of Alan Scott, the 220-year-old Scottish cashmere brand underwent a technical renaissance. Drawing on two centuries of craftsmanship and history, the collection was a considered remix of past, present and future, featuring newly developed jacquards and patterns, as well as a seamless whole-garment jacket. It was presented as part of a tactile installation including hessian bales of raw cashmere from China, Mongolia and Afghanistan, inspiration sketches and an outfit styled by Andreas Murkudis.
