Founded in 1886, CHOYA is widely recognized as one of Japan’s oldest shirt-making brands. ”Only the boldest of actions make their mark in history” – with that axiom in mind, CHOYA began the long process of creating shin-i (the Japanese word for shirt) in a period when Japan had only just encountered western clothes, using the uncertainty of the era to pioneer an unchartered industry in Japan.
