Venini
VENINI was founded in 1921 in Murano, an island north of Venice famous for its 600 year history of glass-making. In the late 1920s, Venini invented the “pulegoso” effect: thousands of tiny air bubbles captured in glass. Over the years VENINI has collaborated with notable architects and product designers such as Carlo Scarpa, Tapio Wirkkala and Ettore Sottsass. To this day, they continue to push the boundaries of contemporary art glass craftsmanship.
