"A Perfect Moment, Captured" by DRIES VAN NOTEN

ANDREAS MURKUDIS and DRIES VAN NOTEN joined forces in the form of an installation for Berlin Gallery Weekend 2021. The collaboration comprised a photographic installation using the full height of the store’s 10-meter-high windows and a specially dedicated temporary space within STORE 81 that housed DRIES VAN NOTEN’s designs. A framework to portray all of the layers of the DRIES VAN NOTEN Spring / Summer 2021 collection, the translucent photographs covered sections of the store’s expansive industrial windows. The collection was inspired by the works of New Zealand born artist Len Lye, who pioneered experimental film and kinetic sculpture in the post-war New York avant-garde art scene. Visitors were invited to take home two exclusive limited-edition posters featuring motifs of Viviane Sassen’s work for DRIES VAN NOTEN. The exhibition ran until July 30th, 2021.
